Wardrobe & Makeup
After you have booked a photoshoot with Cressman Photography, you may have a few questions. Here are some faq's and their answers.

What should I wear?

- First of all, you need to think about the type of jobs that you are looking to book. The more diversity you show in your portfolio, the more clients you will appeal to.
- If you are a beginner, and this is one of your first shoots, it is always a good idea to start with one simple, clean look. This will show potential clients or agents what you really look like.
 - For that look, you may want a plain white tank top and jeans, or a skirt. It could also be a button-up, or t-shirt. Just remember to keep it simple for this look. The same applies to hair and make-up. You need at least one simple look.
- If you are looking to book certain types of jobs, tailor your wardrobe towards those types of looks.
- If you are looking to book any type of job, scan magazines and do google searches to find fashionable ways of putting your clothes together.
- If you are a female, bring heels. Heels always look great!
- Confidence. This is the best thing you can wear. It is okay to ask for ideas and posing tips, but being comfortable in your skin makes the best photos!

How many articles of clothing should I bring?
- If you know exactly what you want to wear, bring it.
- If you want help picking out looks, bring a large variety of clothing items and accessories such as belts, hats, sunglasses, bags, etc..
- Remember, if you have booked a time limited shoot, bringing lots of items will cut into shooting time. Just something to keep in mind.

What are some guidelines for what looks good?
- Layering looks great, bring layering pieces.
- Anything that shows your natural shape, lots of baggy items will not work.
- Colors that compliment your skin tone, and hair and eye color.

What about makeup? Should I do it myself?
- If you would like to book a makeup artist, this can be done at the makeup artist's cost, and should be booked in advance. You may bring a makeup artist, or I can contact one on your behalf.

How should I do my makeup?
- There are endless possibilities for how to do your makeup.
- Makeup will help even the skintone of guys and girls alike.
- Remember to make your makeup a little heavier for the camera than you would on an every day basis.
- Have your makeup done before your arrival if you are doing it yourself. This will ensure a longer shoot time.
- More makeup is required for the camera than for everyday activities.

What about my hair? Should I do it myself?
- The same rules apply to hair. If you like, you can bring a stylist, or I can find one for you.
- You can also consider getting your hair styled at a salon prior to the shoot.

How should I do my hair?
- It is great to show a variety of looks with hair, just as it is clothing and makeup. Try a variety of styles. If you are doing it yourself, practice at home.

What NOT to wear:
